Christmas came early to Center City and her name is ellelauri. Last night, Liz Rymnar opened her flagship boutique on 114 S. 19th Street. I loves me a locally owned and operated establishment. It gives you that one-of-a-kind touch that makes you strut a little taller.
Harvest season is now for merchandising in Philadelphia. I’ve seen more new shops pop up than pumpkin spice lattes. Well, not exactly. But they’re neck and neck. The Deputy Mayor of Philadelphia, Alan Greenberger, notices too. Before cutting the ribbon, he declared, “retail is coming back to Center City big time.”
The opening was a grand success. Simple décor with glistening accents. Music by DJ Adrian Hardy. Shoppers packed, shoulder to shoulder. And a fashion showcase featuring prominent women in Philadelphia, some of which I watch everyday on TV (shout out to Alex Holley of Good Day Philadelphia and Melissa Magee, Channel 6 meteorologist).
Liz has spent time in the Big Apple and across the pond. Philadelphia ~> New York ~> London ~> New York ~> Philly to be exact. As a traveler with a trove of global retail trinkets, I look forward to seeing some Bri-ish (or any other foreign) influence in her collection. In my once-over of the store, I am happy to report that I saw plenty of travel-friendly pieces. Lots of separates that are packable and versatile. Not so coincidentally, simplicity is the base of the boutique. ellelauri is a lifestyle women’s fashion brand that offers chic, unique clothing at an attainable price point. AKA: affordable luxury.
Congrats on the win, gals!
Speaking of Christmas, thanks ladies for this goody bag. I’ve already started working on my vegan granola bites. Making my way through the rest.
